This striper is new boat record for the Chesapeake angler magazine fishing boat. The fish was reel in by a young nine year angler Colton Coleman from Madison Heights, VA fishing near buoy 18.

FISHING REPORT DECEMBER 14

Trolling mid bay, Rappannanock river to Hampton, VA

For those who know the areas, we started at the “cut channel” then the “ghost hole” then ventured further down the bay to the area around the “Cell” where we caught 4, 30-40 pound rock fish over a couple hour stretch, lost 2 at the boat but kept 2 very nice 40” fish in the 30-40 pound class and threw one slightly smaller fish back. From there we made our way south and closer into the eastern shore off of the town of Cape Charles where we finished up with the biggest fish of the day before heading into Hampton. Total for the day: 3, 40” keepers in the 30-40 pound class, one 34” return to nature fish and 2, 40” fish lost at boat!!…..
